Welcome to the Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity website! The Alliance at Georgia State University is the oldest gay-straight student alliance in Georgia! Founded in 1982, we're now celebrating 27 years as one of Georgia State's most successful student organizations! Since then we've grown to be one of the largest chartered student organizations on campus, now with over 700 members!
In 2001-2002, we were named Organization of the Year by GSU at the Royal Flame Awards! We've also been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign, Fox 5 News Atlanta, Southern Voice, and the City of Atlanta for our 2005 presentation of Talk About It: The Power of Being Out. More recently, the Alliance received the Social Program of the Year award from the Royal Flame Awards for The Exhibition, our new annual drag show.
The Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity meets every Thursday at 7:00. For more information about meetings, refer to the Info/Contact page.
